SASA- Financial Planning Officer The South African Sugar Association (SASA) has a permanent vacancy for a Financial Planning Officerbased in Mount Edgecombe. Reporting directly to the Banking and Treasury Manager, the Financial Planning Officer. Assuming responsibility for key treasury and financial functions required by the financial planning and treasury team. Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare daily cashflow forecasts and reconciliations Process internal bank transfers and interest payments Prepare various treasury journals and month end reconciliations Assist with banking administration, maintain and update signatory releasers. administrators, and security managers Process credit card applications when necessary Deal and capture foreign payments Assist in the administration and reconciliation of banks Prepare of the Rate Allocation Account Prepare and process documents for Forward Exchange Contracts (FECS) Prepare the quarterly reserve bank return Capture, verify and ensure release of USD loan payments and drawdowns Prepare yearly exchange control renewals Process overseas travel forex applications when required Prepare industry levy and carry-over liquidation schedules and payment requisitions Assuming responsibility for specific SASA budgets, including preparation, managing and periodic reporting on these budgets, in close consultation with the relevant internal and external stakeholders, departmental managers and divisional heads Assisting with the receipt and coding of invoices and journal entries Assisting with ad hoc financial and treasury related duties The position requires timeous and accurate financial information to be relayed to the Banking and Treasury Manager and/or divisional heads in a logical and understandable format, in accordance with accepted SASA templates, guidelines and policies and procedures to ensure sound financial governance. Minimum Requirements: Education and Experience: A three-year Diploma in Accounting and/or BCom Degree 3 - 4 years relevant experience in a treasury role Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Proficiency in Syspro or equivalent with an excel based reporting tool Skills, Knowledge, and Qualities: Has exceptional planning, organizing, organizational and self-management skills Is a team player and comfortable with written and verbal communication Has a strong preference for working in an environment with established standards, guidelines, policies and procedures Pays close attention to detail and is thorough and meticulous and takes pride in the presentation of their deliverables Financial, Planning, Officer, Accounting Apply Now
