This position is based in Johannesburg East.
Duties:- Crafting insightful management reports on a monthly basis, empowering our leadership team with actionable recommendations to optimize cost efficiency.
- Spearheading the development of comprehensive reports to gauge plant performance accurately.
- Facilitating the annual budgeting process, utilizing advanced SAP models to compute budgeted unit costs effectively.
- Proactively preparing Rolling Forecasts and estimating monthly costs to ensure agility in decision-making.
- Taking ownership of the World Class Manufacturing Cost Deployment Pillar, driving excellence across cost-related initiatives.
- Vigilantly monitoring and reporting on product costing, offering valuable insights to inform strategic business decisions.
- Conducting rigorous cost simulations for new products, facilitating informed pricing strategies.
- Ensuring precise setup of annual standard costs for all products, maintaining accuracy and consistency.
- Implementing robust cost accounting systems and procedures to streamline operations.
- Performing comprehensive cost analysis and variance assessments to identify and rectify anomalies.
- Championing standardization of costing processes, fostering efficiency and reliability.
- Proactively identifying cost-saving opportunities to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensuring meticulous K2 Financial Data Reporting for benchmarking purposes.
- Coordinating the preparation of Cost of Factors file monthly, facilitating proactive cost management.
- Actively participating in Operations Management meetings, contributing valuable financial insights.
- Upholding business controls compliance alongside the plant leadership team.
- Engaging in inventory management activities to ensure compliance and minimize discrepancies.
- Coordinating SAP CO month-end closure seamlessly.
- Conducting revaluation of Finished Goods inventory for accuracy.
- Undertaking ad-hoc exercises as needed to support strategic initiatives.
- Ensuring strict adherence to Quality, Environmental Health, and Safety standards.
Job Experience and Skills Required:- Completed CIMA qualification
- Bachelors degree in Management Accounting / Finance related field
- Minimum of 6 to 8 years experience in a similar position within a manufacturing / plant environment
