My client is seeking a talented Plant Controller to join their team and take ownership of critical responsibilities aimed at optimizing cost efficiency and driving strategic decision-making.
This position is based in Johannesburg East.
Duties:- Crafting insightful monthly management reports, providing actionable recommendations to boost cost efficiency.
- Leading the development of comprehensive performance reports to accurately assess plant performance.
- Guiding the annual budgeting process using advanced SAP models to effectively compute budgeted unit costs.
- Proactively preparing Rolling Forecasts and estimating monthly costs to facilitate agile decision-making.
- Overseeing the World Class Manufacturing Cost Deployment Pillar to ensure excellence in cost-related initiatives.
- Monitoring and reporting on product costing to offer valuable insights for strategic decision-making.
- Conducting thorough cost simulations for new products to inform pricing strategies.
- Ensuring precise setup of annual standard costs for all products, maintaining accuracy and consistency.
- Implementing robust cost accounting systems and procedures to streamline operations.
- Performing comprehensive cost analysis and variance assessments to identify and rectify anomalies.
- Advocating for the standardization of costing processes to drive efficiency and reliability.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities proactively to foster continuous improvement.
- Ensuring meticulous K2 Financial Data Reporting for benchmarking purposes.
- Coordinating the preparation of the Cost of Factors file monthly to facilitate proactive cost management.
- Actively participating in Operations Management meetings, contributing valuable financial insights.
- Upholding business controls compliance alongside the plant leadership team.
- Engaging in inventory management activities to ensure compliance and minimize discrepancies.
- Seamlessly coordinating SAP CO month-end closure.
- Conducting accurate revaluation of Finished Goods inventory.
- Undertaking ad-hoc exercises as required to support strategic initiatives.
- Ensuring strict adherence to Quality, Environmental Health, and Safety standards.
Job Experience and Skills Required:- Completed CIMA qualification
- Bachelors degree in Management Accounting / Finance related field
- Minimum of 6 to 8 years experience in a similar position within a manufacturing / plant environment
