Job Title: Plant EngineerLocation: Limpopo, South AfricaIndustry: MiningJob Type: Full-timeRPO Recruitment's client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Engineer to join their team in Limpopo, South Africa. The Plant Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and optimization of our mining plant equipment and facilities to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.Responsibilities:Develop and implement maintenance programs for all plant equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards.Conduct regular inspections and audits of plant equipment to identify and address any maintenance or operational issues.Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and technical problems to minimize downtime and improve overall plant performance.Collaborate with other departments to schedule and coordinate maintenance activities, shutdowns, and upgrades.Monitor equipment performance and usage data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.Train and supervise plant maintenance staff to ensure adherence to best practices and safety protocols.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and spare parts inventory.Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in plant engineering technology to recommend and implement improvements to plant operations.Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines related to safety, health, environment, and quality.Essential Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.GCC Mines and WorksAt least 10 years’ experience in a position of authority and engineering role responsible formaintenance of equipmentWork experience on process plant or platinum concentrator will be highly advantageousProven track record of managing maintenance programs and improving plant performance.Strong technical skills in mechanical, electrical, and process engineering.Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Knowledge of relevant regulations and safety standards in the mining industry.Benefits:Salary: NegotiableFamily Leave (Maternity, Paternity)Paid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable) If you meet the above requirements and want to make a career-changing move, apply today by either filling in the online application form or emailing your CV to RPO Recruitment at miningrporecruitment.usAlternatively, you are also welcome to contact Anzaan Kennedy on LinkedIn or call her on 021 180 0776.Please note that correspondence will only be conducted with shortlisted candidates for this position.
