Job Title: Plant Engineer Location: Limpopo, South Africa Industry: Mining RPO Recruitment's client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Plant Engineer to join their mining operations in Limpopo. The Plant Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of all plant equipment, implementing improvements to existing processes, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Responsibilities: Develop and implement maintenance strategies for plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime Conduct regular inspections and assessments of plant equipment to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs or replacements Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to schedule and prioritize maintenance activities Monitor plant performance metrics and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and promote a culture of safety within the plant Provide technical support and training to plant staff to enhance their knowledge and skills Manage contractors and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs and maintenance services Stay current with industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement in plant operations Essential Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field GCC Mines & Works 10 years experience as a Plant Engineer in the mining industry At least 5 years experience on process plant or platinum concentrator Strong knowledge of Pump Systems, Conveyor Belts, Crushing & Screening, DMS Drums & Cyclones Strong knowledge of plant equipment and maintenance strategies Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Proven ability to lead and manage a team Good communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in the mining industry Benefits: Salary: Negotiable Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity) Paid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable) If you meet the above requirements and want to make a career-changing move, apply today by either filling in the online application form or emailing your CV to RPO Recruitment at miningrporecruitment.us Alternatively, you are also welcome to contact Anzaan Kennedy on LinkedIn or call her on 021 180 0776.
