Job purpose: To plan, organize, Review and control operations and maintenance of the plant and to achieve the targeted production at desired quality to meet the customers' requirement at optimum cost and ensuring plant QMS, EHS and comply statutory, and regulatory requirement. Role summary: Responsible for overseeing the efficient operation and management of a plant located in South Africa. This role involves leading and coordinating all aspects of the unit's activities to achieve production targets, quality standards, and operational excellence. You will be accountable for managing resources, implementing strategies, and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations. Oversee all functions within the operation ensure the smooth running of various functions ensure department heads are held accountable for daily activities/responsibilities. Foster positive relationships with internal stakeholders (senior management, other departments) to align goals and priorities. Liaise with external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, regulatory authorities, and local communities, to address concerns, resolve issues, and maintain a positive reputation for the unit. KPA's: Health & Safety Operational Leadership Production Management Quality Control Team Management Cost & Resource Management Maintenance Educational Qualifications, Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical Minimum of 6 - 8 years managerial experience, preferably in projects and overall management of the cement grinding plant Minimum of 12 years cement industry experience Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation) Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise crucial Experience in maintenance and repairs, processes are highly preferred.
