As the Plant Operator you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the LPG plant, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain processing equipment including compressors, pumps, valves, and pipelines.
- Monitor process parameters and perform regular inspections to ensure proper functioning of equipment and adherence to safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and line ups for transferring of LPG to various tanks.
- Offloading and loading of road tankers.
- Blending LPG to prescribed vapour pressures.
- Conduct safety inspections and participate in safety meetings.
- Keep accurate records of plant operations, equipment maintenance, and safety inspections.
- Respond to emergencies and minimize risks to personnel and the environment.
Requirements:
- Qualification in Chemical Operations or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical or chemical engineering is preferred.
- Proven experience working as a plant operator in the oil and gas industry, with specific experience in LPG processing preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing the handling and storage of hazardous materials, including LPG.
- Willingness to work overtime including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
