Sets up the filter press according to laid down procedures. Pumps solutions from the intermediate tank to the filter press. Monitors the flow through the filter press. Adjusts the density by adjusting the water flow. Stops the intermediate tank stirrer when the liquid level drops below the stirrer blades. Pumps the finished product from the clear tank to the finished product storage tank. Determines the dip of the storage tank batch size calculations. Take samples for lab analysis. Cleans filter press according to laid down procedures. Keeps the plant tidy at all times and reports all unsafe or out of order equipment promptly to the Team Leader. Transfers bags containing filtrate sludge to a designated storage area. Required to assist with stock takes when required. To undertake any legal ad hoc tasks for which the incumbent is competent as directed by management. Required to drive a forklift and maintain medical fitness for license renewal.
