MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To Supervise and participate in the operation, direction, adjustments, repairs and maintenance of the water treatment plant and related equipment. Person is responsible for the planning, organizing, scheduling and work assigning of the employees for the effluent plant. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Planning, assigning, scheduling, supervising and directing the work of the effuent plant. Chemical Control Instructing, training and evaluating subordinates. People management of Effluent Plant employees. Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures and policies. Determining quantities and types of supplies required to ensure efficient running of the plant. Regularly evaluating the performance of the plant and make recommendations and suggestion for improvements. Supervising the monitoring of meters, gauges and control panels. Ensuring acceptable hygiene standards are maintained. Supervising the activities of the team at the dams and provide necessary guidance and assistance where required. For the achieving of optimal productivity with an EVP Poultry guideline and to meet Production requirements. To work co-operatively with other members of the maintenance team. Remain flexible to requests for tasks to be carried out. Ensure correct wearing of PPE. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Grade 12 3 years' experience in water treatment and sanitation. Any courses completed with regards to Water treatment. Mechanical experience with repairs on all water plant machinery and equipment. 3 years' experience in supervisory position. Good communication skills. Principles and practices of water treatment and water quality analysis. Chemical tests applicable to Effluent Treatment. Chemical control operations. Regulation related to the treatment, transmissions and disposal of waste water. Systematic approach to problem solving and preventative maintenance planning. Leadership skill to work as part of a team, and to take lead. Ability to work under pressure. Relaible and trustworthy personality. Deadline driven with attention to details. Code B Driver's License. Forklift License. NEGOTIABLE
