NORTH-WEST UNIVERSITY (POTCHEFSTROOM CAMPUS) DIVISION: OFFICE OF THE VICE CHANCELOR DEPARTMENT: NWU ENTERPRISE POSITION NUMBER: TBR0235 POSITION: PLATFORM MANAGER PEROMNES GRADE: P7 EMPLOYMENT TYPE: FIXED-TERM APPOINTMENT (UNTIL 31 OCTOBER 2024) PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Manage the establishment and curation of a community of researchers and potential clients. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Community of researchers and customers : Meetings 2. Project formation: Network productivity, efficiency. 3. Team : Team contribution. · A 4-year bachelor's degree or an honours degree (NQF level 8) in any field of study. · A minimum of 6 years' experience building relationships with researchers RECOMMENDATION: · Membership with the Southern African Research and Innovation Management Association (SARIMA). · A minimum of 3 years' research experience with postgraduate students. KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES: · Building relationships with academic researchers. · Building relationships with alumni, retired academics, consultants etc. BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES: · Team player · Service orientation REMUNERATION: The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
