What you'll do:As a Program Director for Portfolio Management, you will be at the forefront of technology innovation within a globally recognised organisation. Your role will involve creating, implementing, and maintaining PMO structures that are aligned with best practices. You will be responsible for managing foreseeable portfolio risks, establishing effective financial reporting practices, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and implementing portfolio tooling. This role requires a deep understanding of change delivery practices, technology organisations, and the ability to interact with senior stakeholders across the business.Identify and leverage common goals between different change initiatives and coordinate these initiatives to ensure objectives are integratedPlan and monitor the utilisation of resources across the portfolioDevelop portfolio dashboards that monitor the delivery of all projects in the portfolioManage foreseeable portfolio risks, aligning the required senior resources to communicate, manage and resolve these risksSupport the handover of projects to BAU and the controlled management of project risks becoming operational risksEstablish effective financial reporting practices and internal control proceduresMonitor portfolio delivery against budgeted run rate and report to the appropriate governance structuresDefine documentation templates and risk assessments and ensure appropriate mandatory documentation is usedBuild and maintain a PMO stakeholder map to ensure tailored dissemination of appropriate information about the portfolioImplement and maintain portfolio tooling The ideal candidate for this Program Director for Portfolio Management position will bring a wealth of experience in operating a portfolio management office within a regulated financial services environment. You will have proven experience in operating and maintaining PMO tools as well as establishing PMO governance frameworks. Your strong analytical skills relating to project finances, including the modelling and management of financial data, will be crucial in this role.
