Overview Process & Design Engineer - Cape Town Your role will combine the fields of Engineering and Project management, supporting a project from inception through technical sales, design, and eventual commissioning. JBT is based in the capital city of Cape Town and supports a wide variety of food processing equipment. Although the role would be open to specialization into a particular type of equipment in a certain field, we would like you to be open to learn about a wide array of machinery. Your role will report into our Operations Manager in Cape Town. Responsibilities A day in the life of our Process Design Engineer includes Design and drawing of food processing and materials handling equipment. Project management. Localization of international drawings and design to local manufacturing abilities and specifications. Liaise with customers on product and process requirements. Liaise with international JBT facilities to train and provide training. Technical sales support. Provide engineering specifications to technical buying department. Sourcing of specialist components Complete time and expense report on a weekly basis. Complete all paperwork and records maintained for JBT and customers to the required standards Complete and adhere to all HSE requirements and instructions What are looking for on a CV Mechanical Engineering Degree/Diploma (N-Dip, B.Tech/B.eng). Minimum 5-7 years machine design related experience. Process flow experience. SolidWorks experience. Project management experience. Manage a project from concept to commissioning. Interest in the design and manufacturing of Pressure Vessels.
