Process Engineer

Job Purpose:

Controlling of paint and injection moulding processes for new and existing models
Carrying out improvement programs into existing processes
Planning, specifying and implementing tooling, equipment processes for introduction of new models
Problem solving of engineering related production and paint concerns and developing counter measures
Monitoring of existing processes
Specifications of tooling equipment with regards to facility, paint application and preparation processes
New Process development and project management

Education:

Work Experience / Requirements:

3 to 5 years in Process/Production Engineering in Paint formulation / application
Previous experience in planning of new models with regards to tooling, processes and equipment
Computer literate in MS Word, MS Project and MS Excel
Manufacturing of plastic parts / Painting of Plastic plants
Paint application methods and systems
Paint technology, preparation and testing
Injection Moulding and/or plastics technology
Interpretation of engineering drawings
Understanding and competency in PLX and Robot programming (Kawasaki and ABB Randburg) is advantageous
SAPMA Paint Technology Training Certification or similar is advantageous
