Westfalia Fruit Products situated in Midrand, has a permanent vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced Procurement and Logistics Manager. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the incumbent will be responsible to manage all non-fruit related procurement (Fertilizer, Transport, Packing Material, Ingredients etc) for Westfalia Africa food products to ensure lowest cost, at the correct quality while maintaining reliable supply. To manage all Logistical activities inclusive of Warehousing, storage, transport, and distribution from Westfalia sites to the distribution centres. Qualifications/Experience: Degree in Supply Chain/Procurement Commerce / Business / Engineering / Science 5 to 8 years Supply Chain experience with 3 years at a senior management level with responsibility of direct reports Experience in identifying cost savings and driving down costs with a track record of total cost savings Experience in managing food and packaging and/or fertilizer categories Experience in project management Experience in managing contract manufacturers Experience in managing warehousing (raw material and finished goods) Experience in optimizing and managing logistics Knowledge: Strong commercial and financial understanding Food safety systems Agricultural sector knowledge Basic technical knowledge on farming, production, and packing Knowledge of Warehousing and logistics Knowledge of production planning Skills: Possess excellent negotiating skills obtained from strategic or complex negotiations Strategic sourcing Project management Demand and Supply management Influencing, Collaborating Strategic thinking Risk mitigation. Excellent communicator Attitude / Behaviour: Initiative, energy, and drive High level of integrity Able to work independently and in a team Ability to work under pressure Customer orientated Ability to work across structures, engaging people on different levels Being comfortable in engaging personnel with specific expertise and learning fromthem Salary: The Company offers a Total Guaranteed Remuneration Package which comprises provident fund, insured benefits, medical aid and an option to structure an annual bonus.
