Procurement and Order Management Specialist - Midrand

Job overview:We are actively seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented professional to fill the role of procurement and order management specialist. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily management of client orders, sourcing promotional items from local and international suppliers, and ensuring seamless communication with clients. A key aspect of the role involves expertise in import processes from China, a deep understanding of the promotional items industry, and proficiency in utilising Microsoft Office applications, especially in financial calculations for costing.Responsibilities:Order management:Process and manage client orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness at every stage.Communicate with clients to gather order requirements, specifications, and delivery timelines.Provide regular updates to clients on the status of their orders, addressing any queries or concerns promptly.Supplier management:Identify, negotiate, and collaborate with local and international suppliers for promotional items.Negotiate terms, prices, and delivery schedules to secure cost-effective and timely procurement.Foster strong relationships with suppliers to enhance collaboration and streamline procurement processes.Import from China:Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the import process from China, managing customs regulations, shipping logistics, and quality control.Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure the smooth importation of goods.Promotional items expertise:Stay informed about industry trends and source innovative promotional items from a variety of suppliers.Provide clients with expert recommendations based on their needs and budget constraints.Print and production oversight:Collaborate closely with production teams to ensure the quality and timely delivery of promotional items.Utilise a strong understanding of the print and production processes to troubleshoot technical challenges effectively.Computer skills and financial understanding:Demonstrate strong computer skills, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Utilise financial acumen to calculate costing, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing for promotional items.Required:Industry knowledge:Strong understanding of the promotional items industry, including trends, suppliers, and market dynamics.Import expertise:Experience in importing goods from China, including knowledge of customs clearance processes.Communication skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to effectively communicate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.Detail-oriented:Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple orders simultaneously.If you are a proactive and experienced professional, with a background in promotional items procurement, import processes from China, strong computer skills, and a solid financial understanding for costing, we encourage you to apply.
