Reference Number: DSS01 - PM Job Description: Our client is seeking an innovative Procurement Manager to enhance our operations team, taking charge of the entire procurement process, from selecting suppliers to optimizing stock levels. The ideal candidate, with a background in supply chain and logistics, will specialize in securing cost-effective purchases for all required goods and services. Responsibilities: Create innovative and cost-effective procurement strategies to drive efficiency. Identify and cultivate relationships with dependable suppliers and vendors. negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions. Conduct thorough reviews of existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure ongoing feasibility. Cultivate and sustain enduring relationships with vendors and suppliers. Draft purchase orders for Head of Department approval and coordinate the seamless delivery of goods and services. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements. Maintain oversight of the procurement budget and foster a culture of long-term cost savings. Supervise and manage IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the overall supply chain. Compile detailed procurement reports for comprehensive analysis. Ensuring effective implementation of the Company's Health & Safety policy in the areas that the Post Holder may visit. Participate in routine progress meetings with designated and pertinent stakeholders. Requirements : Qualification and Skill Diploma or degree in Supply Chain management Experience in managing supply chain operations. Stores and stock management experience Experience in mining procurement and understanding of the mining industry. Experience using supply chain management software and tools. In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
