Procurement Officer - - Edenvale

Responsibilities:

Processing of vendor applications, completion of credit applications
Source, maintain and monitor relationships with Suppliers
Negotiate prices and supply with Suppliers
Ensure the business remains within the fixed cost budget through analysis
Oversee consumable procurement for all four production sites
Process of purchase requisitions
General Ledger Reconciliations
Raise accruals at month end for creditors/expenses
Implement and optimize procurement budgets
Implement cost-saving initiatives
Implement procurement strategies, procurement policies and procedures
Collaborate with internal stakeholders
Achieve targeted cost savings in Consumable procurement
Generate reports for management on stock levels, purchasing activities & cost analysis
Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecast of costs

Requirements:

Tertiary studies in procurement or supply chain management (CIPS advantageous)
At least 10 years experience in procurement
Proven experience in stock control, purchasing or supply chain management
Experience and knowledge of ERP's and Excel based reporting
