Procurement Specialist - Gauteng
The purpose of this role is to provide procurement services, including but not limited to, procuring goods and services. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES, MEASURES AND INTERFACES Procuring goods and services for company in line with the provisions of the Public Finance Management Act (including their Regulations), the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (including their Regulations) and institutional procurement policy. Assist in demand and planning administration. Procurement compliance and governance administration, including reporting. Supplier and logistics administration. Procurement petty cash administration. Advice management and staff on the correct implementation of the procurement policy. Supplier and vendor administration. Establish and maintain good working relations with suppliers and other stakeholders. Source quotations, prepare Comparative Bid Analysis and make recommendations to purchase, and, with authorization, purchase appropriate supplies/ services. Liaise and co-ordinate with the relevant stakeholders regarding delivery of supplies and keep all parties informed of any changes in a timely manner. Administration of competitive bidding process. Administer all contracts for the supply of goods and services and ensure all conditions are being met. • Administer procurement risk register. Administration of procurement records QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Posses a Matric (Grade 12) and a bachelors degree or Advanced Diploma (B. Tech) in supply chain management, finance or equivalent. A post graduate qualification will be advantageous. At least two years’ working experience in public procurement or supply chain management environment. Working knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act in so far as it relates to public procurement/supply chain management (including its regulations), and Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (including its regulations), and Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Act. Knowledge of MS Dynamix 365 (or MS Dynamix 2012) will be advantageous
