Ernest Lowe (ELCO) is a member of Hudaco group that specialises in the supply, repair, and refurbishment of a range of leading brand pneumatic, hydraulic products and components from large to tiny. We are looking for a well presented and motivated individual to join our dynamic team as Product Manager. Matric certificate minimum plus relevant qualification At least 7 years technical experience in Hydraulics A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar environment Responsible for providing the sales team with the necessary technical expertise to enable them to sell hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, powerpacks and hydraulic systems in relevant economic sectors and all related products. Responsible for reviewing products data to ensure that the field force is kept up to date on new developments regarding companies or competitors' products. Act as point of first reference for all product related enquiries and work collaboratively with colleagues to address any issues that arise. Close liaison with the field force to assess the response and suitability of current promotional material and to ensure that the printed promotional material is being used optimally. Design market research projects to assess customer attitudes to the current range and new product introductions. Assist with the design of the annual marketing plan and for controlling advertising promotion and sales aids in accordance with the annual marketing plan. Responsible for preparing product forecasts and constantly monitoring inventory levels locally and globally to ensure supply timelines. Liaise with advertising to promote products and brands. Maintain relationships with mainstream suppliers. Negotiate with suppliers and distributors Prepare, review, and distribute reports, feedback, analysis and other market data. Monitor all aspects of the design, development and production process. Co-ordinate and attend show and /or open days. Develop and implement SETA/Accredited Product specific training interventions. Must be a dynamic, motivated individual Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Must be a creative thinker and self-starter Must have the ability to initiate and follow through Must be willing to travel
