Job Description Summary As Product Manager IDS Africa reporting to the Marketing Manager IDS Africa, you will co-develop and implement business strategies and marketing plans for the IDS African region to ensure continued growth of IDS platforms, sales, category share of sales and profitability in the region in line with overall business strategy and sales & GP targets. Become a maker of possible with us By aligning and simplifying our work, our Integrated Diagnostic Solutions (IDS) business unit aims to drive growth and innovation around everything from integrated specimen management to diagnostic solutions. About the role The Product Manager is responsible to establish and maintain a strong competitive position through promotional and communication programs. He or she will conduct appropriate market analysis and competitive product research to provide information on market segmentation, category share, customer perceptions and future national market trends. Main responsibilities will include: - Co- ordinate and manage events and campaigns to identify KOLs and to ensure the implementation of brand strategies and tactics to generate sales growth in the market. - Create and develop KOL network to relay BD's value proposition. - Product Life Cycle Management - from launch of new products to discontinuation - Understand and analyze customer buying process, segmentation and targeting. - Conduct competitive analysis and profiling, product benefit analysis, product positioning and positioning/ value proposition statement while empowering the sales force through product trainings. - Accountable for demand forecast in close collaboration with local & regional management and other local functions. - Identify and analyze macro trends and develop insights. - Communicate continuously with Regional Marketing team to share trends, competition behaviors, change in environment, feedback from the field, learning from campaigns. About you - BSc degree in biological science, molecular biology, or relevant working experience; Microbiology background is an asset. - Experience in the field of product management in healthcare or life sciences company is ideal. - Good knowledge of MS Office applications. - Customer centric with strong analytical and problem - solving skills. - Entrepreneurial and Strategic Thinking. - Communication and influencing skills across multiple levels, functional and cultures. - Strong Co-ordination and organizational skills. - Able to work under pressure as a team player and as an individual contributor.
