Product Owner - Cape Town City Centre

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Define and prioritize the product backlog based on business objectives, customer feedback, and market trends.
  2. Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including business, development teams, designers, marketers, and customer support, to gather requirements and define product vision.
  3. Work with the development team to plan and coordinate releases, ensuring timely delivery and effective communication with relevant parties.
  4. Communicate product updates, timelines, and priorities to internal teams and stakeholders.
  5. Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for product improvements and innovation.
  6. Work closely with UI/UX designers to create intuitive and engaging user experiences that drive conversion and retention.
  7. Analyse website metrics, user behaviour, and customer feedback to identify areas for optimization and enhancement.
  8. Partner with marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies for new product launches and feature releases.
  9. Work with the QA team to ensure the quality of deliverables meets high standards and is aligned with business requirements.
  10. Prepare and maintain product documentation, including training material, release notes, and feature documentation.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in ecommerce and telecommunications.
  12. Champion a customer-centric approach to product development, advocating for features and enhancements that improve the overall user experience.
Qualifications:
  1. Proven experience (3+ years) as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst or similar role.
  2. Strong understanding of telecommunications products and services, including mobile plans, internet services, and digital entertainment.
  3. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  4. Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  5. Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  6. Familiarity with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Hotjar, etc.
  7. Passion for innovation and continuous improvement, with a track record of driving positive change within cross-functional teams.
  8. Proven ability to excel under pressure, particularly in a fast-paced environment, which is essential for maintaining efficiency and delivering high-quality results amidst dynamic and demanding circumstances.
