Production Manager - Kuruman
Requirements
- National Diploma or B. Degree in Mining
- Must have an opencast blasting ticket
- Mine managers’ certificate
- Managerial qualification
- 5 years’ experience in open cast mining environment of which at least
- 2 years experience as a Production Manager level.
- Experience with open pit heavy equipment fleet and open pit operations and mechanically inclined
- Experience in drilling, blasting, loading, hauling and pit dewatering
KPA
Health, Safety and Environment
- Complies with the Mine Health and Safety Act as well as company policies and procedures
Production
- Assists with the drawing up of business strategy and budget formulation
- Ensure optimal production of mining and plant
- Achieve productivity targets
Cost
- Ensure correct allocation of resources e.g., labour and equipment
- Allocate/withhold funds as dictated by operational requirements
Labour management
- Define labour structure and ensure vacancies are filled within reasonable time
- Review subordinates’ performances quarterly according to their respective KPIs
- Approval and monitor of overtime in maintenance department based on Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) requirement
- Manage leave schedule.
