Our client, based in KZN is looking for a seasoned Production Manager at a national FMCG company specializing in printing. Please only apply if you have an Electrical or Mechanical Qualification & industry experience. Required Qualifications and Experience: A completed degree or national diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering . At least 5 years of continuous manufacturing production experience Experience in injection and/or blow moulding. A minimum of 3 years of experience in Production or Unit Management. Key Responsibilities: Leading the Production Team to ensure they are motivated and performing at their best. Overseeing all machine and plant maintenance. Achieving machine efficiencies of less than 85%. Identifying and implementing measurable technical and process improvements. Establishing and managing the budget for mould expenses and equipment, including controlling consumable costs. Managing spares usage and costs. Collaborating with Quality to maintain FSSC and ISO standards. Ensuring the factory runs according to standard procedures. Overseeing and assisting with the training of all Production staff. Working with HSE to ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety procedures. Maintaining proper housekeeping standards with a minimum score of 95% on the checklist and 100% adherence to the dress code. Desired Characteristics: Self-motivated, energetic, and capable of motivating and empowering a team. Ability to make tough decisions and manage complex situations. Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of managing a production team. Strong sense of urgency and enjoys being on the floor in a hands-on role and environment.
