Granor Passi (Pty) Ltd, a leading fruit processor in South Africa, its Head Office situated in Polokwane (Limpopo), seeks to employ a Production Manager in Granor Passi (Letsitele factory). Proper planning, overseeing, reporting on, and controlling of operations, activities, budgets, administration, staff, and assets within the division(s) as well as authorise expenditure within the division in line with the company policies. Implement policies and procedures to manage activities in the division, improve effectiveness and increase productivity and profitability. Effectively communicate with management, workers, customers, and all stakeholders. Effective scheduling of work and staff rosters and keeping and maintaining an accurate job card control system Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding compulsory (and preventative) maintenance and repairs. Conduct compliance inspections Ensure the development of employees and are competent to complete required tasks. Manage and control stand-by and shift roster(s) and systems. Degree in Food Technology. 5 years' experience in a food factory, of which at least 2 years in a Citrus production environment in a supervisory capacity. Knowledge of SAGE system is a strong recommendation. Project Management and Analytical Skills. Time management and Decision-making skills. Must be able to work under extreme pressure. Ability to work without supervision. Effective people management. Must be able to lead and apply proper discipline. Knowledge of SABS ISO9001 and HACCP will be advantage. Good communication, bilingual and influencing skills.
