A well-established company within the Manufacturing industry is seeking the expertise of a Production Technician with Mechanical Laboratory experience to join their team in the Middelburg, Mpumalanga area. This will be a permanent requirement.

The Key Responsibilities for this Role Include

Ensure Quality of testing Performed is in line with required standards
Ensuring continuous optimization of processes
Develop new test methods
Validations, revalidation and compilation of validation documentation
Evaluate quality critical suppliers

Qualification

Minimum qualification in BEng (Metallurgy and Material Science / BSc (Hons) Material Science

Experience

2+ years experience relevant laboratory experience at Technician Level in testing and quality management
Must possess knowledge of mechanical and metallurgical testing processes, statistics and quality control systems, testing equipment principles, root cause analysis, method development, method validation, data analysis and interpretation
Experience as a Technical Signatory in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory (advantageous)

Skills Required

Technical skills required; Mechanical and metallurgical testing and equipment, statistics, quality principles, in depth problem solving and root cause analysis
Basic people management skills
