Minimum Requirements University/University of Technology Degree as a Quantity Surveyor. Registration as a Professional Quantity Surveyor with SACQSP. Experience At least three (3) years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor and familiar with WinQS and DimensionX Software. Duties and Responsibilities: Preparing estimates of construction costs. Advise on Procurement Policy for the project Advise on Economic factors affecting the project Conduct condition assessments, prepare presentations with project cost estimates. Provide necessary information within the agreed scope of the project to the other consultants Advise on other consultants and services required. Liaise, co-operate and provide necessary information to the client, principal consultant and the other consultants Advise and assist in preparing necessary value engineering and life cycle cost reports as required Measurement of building quantities for bill preparation and final accounts. Drafting Bills of Quantities. Site visits for valuation of work progress. Preparing valuations for issue of interim payment certificates. Performing cost management of construction projects.
