The Group Office is responsible for governance and for the Group's centralised functions, which include: Finance, Actuarial and Risk Management, Strategy, Human Resources, Market Development and Brand Sustainability. What will you do? The role of the SVP Programme Manager is to manage and oversee the successful implementation of the SVP strategy and resources to ensure the organisation’s objectives and goals are met. The role entails coordinating volunteerism initiatives across different Clusters and business units, ensuring coordination of efforts, resources, and monitoring and reporting thereof. The SVP programme manager will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the SVP. They will spend most of their time tracking the progress of the SVP, monitoring its impact, supporting Clusters with SVP initiatives as and when required, arranging Group wide events, planning, analysing, and making decisions in line with the Foundation’s strategy. The SVP programme manager must have actual experience or good knowledge of operating in a non-profit, volunteer-related, and corporate organisation. The candidate must have exceptional leadership, computer, and communication skills, which will be required for managing the portfolio, including the SVP digital platform and to meet the organisation’s strategic goals and objectives. The SVP programme manager will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of data from the respective business units, work closely with Cluster Champions and staff who volunteer, to create a schedule that works for everyone and ensure that the right number of staff is always available to actively participate in projects. Assess and manage the budget for each event and ensure adequate resources are available always. Manage related risks associated with the SVP programme and ensure activities are implemented within relevant regulatory frameworks What will make you successful in this role? Manage the delivery of milestones and outputs of the Staff Volunteerism Programmes and projects, within scope, time and budget. Control and manage programme and project compliance requirements and provide a quality assurance function. Manage all assigned programme and project finances, including payments. Manage and control programme and project risk register. Manage programme and project governance processes. Establish and maintain relationships with service providers, partners and beneficiaries. Qualification and Experience Bachelor’s degree Project Management qualification 5 years project/programme management 5 years corporate experience would be an advantage Corporate Social Investment or Non-Profit Organisation experience is essential Advanced experience using online project management system Programme/project management and reporting Managing all aspects of multiple projects of different sizes, simultaneously Experience in the Financial Services Sector would be an advantage Experience in measuring and evaluating projects Working with cross-functional/multi-disciplinary teams Effective report writing Experience with digital project management Processes and Systems Programme administration and project management capability Knowledge and application of principles, methods and techniques of programme and project management Knowledge and understanding of Risk management Effective presentation and communication skills Knowledge and understanding of monitoring and evaluation principles and approaches Knowledge of financial services and its B-BBEE policies Familiarity with basic accounting and financial reporting requirements A firm understanding of the socio-economic challenges faced by the country Knowledge of the financial services industry, financial terminology and the value proposition elements available through a financial services business Familiarity with applicable legislation and technical aspects of Sanlam Foundation projects Knowledge and Skills Implementation of corporate social investment plan Project Planning Project Tracking and Reporting reporting and administration Quality, Compliance and accreditation Personal Attributes Interpersonal savvy - Contributing through others Decision quality - Contributing through others Plans and aligns - Contributing through others Optimises work processes - Contributing through others Build a successful career with us We’re all about building strong, lasting relationships with our employees.
