Project Engineer - Gauteng
A well established multinational engineering consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Project Engineer, registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer/Technologist. One will be responsible for the management of the planning, design and construction of engineering and building projects from inception to completion. Manage construction contracts as Contracts Engineer Employer’s Agent Principal Agent. Prepare tender documents. Prepare reports (Project Inception, Concept and Viability, Design, Tender Evaluation, progress, financial, close-out, etc). Day-to day contract administration and manage civil engineering and housing projects. Effectively facilitate and deal with stormwater management. Handle technical queries and resolutions Lead site and technical meetings on site, including the taking minutes. Financial control of construction contracts Communicate frequently with all professionals and clients. Handle technical queries and dispute resolutions in conjunction with others. Assist with project safety and environmental matters during construction. General office and project related admin. A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Professional Technologist. Registration with SACPCMP as a Professional Construction Project Manager will be advantageous. Minimum of 7 years’ verifiable post graduate experience in the planning, design and construction of civil engineering and building projects from inception to completion. 3 years experience in stormwater management. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Office Project. Basic knowledge and experience with AutoCAD Civil3D, Experience in the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) software, in particular BIM360 Docs, ACC Docs and ACC Build will be advantageous. Must be an effective communicator (personal, phone, writing, email; etc) Own Vehicle Valid Driver’s Licence Negotiable - Market Related A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Professional Technologist. Registration with SACPCMP as a Professional Construction Project Manager will be advantageous.
