Project Manager - Kyalami

Purpose of the Position: • Managing of refurbishments, plant audits, field service jobs and Maintenance of Separation and related equipment. • Stationed in the Kyalami offices but will be traveling to sites as and when required. • As the Service department supports mostly customers, that is in full operation, the delivery time will be most critical, avoiding production loses. • Project size range from R20,000.00 – R12,000,000.00 in value, with duration from 1 day to 6 months. Currently it varies from 45 to 60 projects per year. Qualifications and Skills • Applicable technical qualification(s). • Minimum 10-year experience in site execution. Portfolio of evidence is a requirement. • Experience in hydraulic installation and commissioning. • Experience in electrical and control installation, commissioning and fault finding. • Experience in high-speed rotating equipment installation and commissioning. • Experience in general engineering. • Well-developed oral and written communication skills, particularly in dealing with customers, suppliers, and colleagues on higher, equal, and lower levels. • Initiative, energy, and an eye for detail with an ability to think laterally and do complex problem solving. • Ability to co-ordinate several projects, running concurrent ensure that all deadlines are met. • Working knowledge of separation or similar machines. • The ability to work to deadlines and adapt a flexible approach to meet the requirements of Site business. • Good skills in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) • MS Projects • ERP system experience (Accountmate - no prior experience needed) o Procurement o Budgeting control Responsibilities: • Help define project scope, goals and deliverables • Define tasks and required resources • Collect and manage Drawings • Coordinate and manage site team (2 – 50 people) • Manage budget • Procurement and expediting of material supply • Allocate project resources • Manage and review all QC documents (External QC inspector) • Create a schedule and critical timeline • Track deliverables • Support and direct site teams • Monitor and report on project progress • Present to stakeholders’ report on progress • Implement and manage change when necessary • Evaluate and assess the results of project • Export and import documentations • Compile close out report on completion • Reporting: • Weekly o Project progress o Project changes o Projects Budget (Estimate to Actual) o Site Crew allocation • Monthly o Projects ready to close out (With expected Margins) o Projects closed out during previous months o Site crew allocation – 3 months forecast Key accountabilities: • Maintain/improve project margin as set out during sales phase • Maintain/improve project delivery time as set out during sales phase • Invoice within 5 working days of milestone/completion • Close out job within 20 working days of final invoice • Maintain project files for auditing purposes (Standard documents include) • Client Purchase order • Client Change order (if required) Apply Now
