The Documentation/Compliance Specialist is responsible for oversight of patient documents and completed and up to date according to compliance and regulations of the state/insurance and will oversee the records of the patients to ensure proper documentation and signatures are completed in a timely fashion. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs the following task for documentation/signatures. Obtaining signatures upon intake to ensure all forms are accurate upon start of services. Ensures that documents are re-signed prior to expiration of prior document. Updates forms for patient records when they are changed to meet standards of the governing bodies. Complete documents as needed for State regulations as well as Insurance standards required. Obtain all signatures needed through various methods, paper, EPIC, MyChart, email, etc. Performed necessary function to ensure patient comfort and satisfaction with service. Other related duties as assigned. PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: May require sitting/standing for up to 4 hours/day, walking up to 2 hours/day, 20 minutes at a time. Requires frequent fingering, handling, firm grasping, twisting and turning. In a typical workday when performing essential functions, must be able to: stoop/bend; reach above shoulder level; squat; crouch; kneel; climb; lift heavy supplies and equipment; touch to perceive size, shape temperature and texture; hear high frequencies and day to day conversations, perceive objects near and far; and distinguish chromatic colors. In addition, should have good peripheral vision and depth perception. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1 year experience in the mental health field either through internships or employment. Computer skills are a must.
