Public Relations Officer Position based at Head Office in Eikenhof in the South of Johannesburg - Red Ant Security Relocation & Eviction Services - South Africa

We require the services of an experienced Public Relations Officer to join our dynamic management team at our Head Office in Eikenhof, South of Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have experience in compiling and distributing press releases, brand development, marketing, public presentations and managing social media platforms. We require a highly profession person with ethical values, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage his / her own time. The position requires travelling and handling Public Relations for the group nationally. Develop and implement a corporate communication and marketing strategy. Handle all press enquiries with prior approval from Top Management. Design and create public relations programmes to create a favourable public image. Plan promotional and public relations activities to develop the company brand. Continuous communication with current clients to improve and build relationships, identify additional business opportunities, upsell, identify problems and resolve client queries and complaints. Improve and maintain the company website and all social media platforms to keep public informed and improve company image. Attend corporate shows, events and conferences and identify promotional opportunities and PR campaigns. Communicate with the media before, during and after operations to ensure the media communications regarding the company are positive. Creating content providing search engine optimization for the website. Monitor all social media such as Twitter, Instagram etc. to manage and control negative communication or publicity. Prepare visual aids, press releases, write speeches, and organize public events. Design and produce all promotional and marketing material. Arrange staff social activities and create team building opportunities. Build strong stakeholder relationships. Provide expert advice to Top Management and operational management to create highly favourable media exposure during operations. Responsible for internal newsletter. Assist Tender department as and when required. B Degree or 3-year Diploma in Communication or related field. 8 Years corporate Public Relations, marketing, brand development and social media experience. Proven experience in organizing public events, social media and website management, brand and branding development, crises and emergency press releases and the implementation of marketing and communication strategies.
