A fixed term Internship opportunity exists a t Imerys Refractory Minerals SA, Head Office, Centurion for a Purchasing Intern. Purpose of the Role: The key purpose of this role is to provide developmental opportunities to a suitable graduate while improving the purchasing service level and KPIs for all the operations within Imerys Refractory Minerals South Africa Analyse spend and prepare reports including B-BBEE and Mining Charter Reports. Ensure compliance with purchasing process, policies and other statutory requirements Review and analyse purchase requisitions to ensure appropriate sourcing of non-stock and stock items. Evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations for improvement. Prepare, compile and issue RFQ. Manage and maintain vendor master data (Onboard the supplier base, manage and update data in systems) Develop and implement sourcing strategies. Advanced Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering. Computer literate. Strong verbal and written English communication. Analytical skills, report writing skills and decision making skills. Attention to detail. No previous internship contract experience. Unendorsed driver's licence.
