MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The role of the Yes Trainee / Intern is to support the purchasing team as required. The main mission of the role are to: The main missions of the role include: The Purchasing Admin Trainee is responsible for assisting with administration in the purchasing department to facilitate the achievement of the department’s goals in line with purchasing strategy. Assist the team in contributing to the identification and implementation of productivity actions (product/process) for cost reduction. Assist the team in in monitoring performance for supplier perimeter through cross-functional teamwork in the plants. Support the team as needed to achieve the Purchasing Budget for his/her plants, (amongst other support needs). QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: The ideal candidate will have/be: Education: National Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain or a Business-related qualification preferred. Limited experience required Knowledge of productivity / lean management methodology advantageous Knowledge of production, quality and logistics advantageous Good communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of products and technology advantageous Languages: Ability to speak, write and read the English language70% overall achievement on full academic results. Never been registered with the Y.E.S Youth Program before. Complies with the YES regulations.
