Our client is looking for a Quality Control Inspector who possesses the following skills and qualifications: Responsibilities: Ensure that Southey's Integrated Management System is fully implemented and adhered to on-site as it relates to all quality requirements Work closely with the site team to carry out the required quality control activities before, during and after the execution of the relevant work scopes so as to ensure conformance to contract requirements Drive continuous improvement in the quality system, resulting in cost savings, higher efficiencies, and improved work quality Ensure that all reworks and defects are accurately reported and tracked Represent the Company at meetings and any other engagements with the Client or any other third parties in so far as it relates to quality related matters Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications NACE Level I or equivalent is essential Honesty and Integrity are critical factors in this position Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Proficiency in one or more African language would be advantageous Strong administrative, organization and problem-solving skills are required The appointee must be deadline driven and results orientated Above average computer skills are required particularly regarding MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Have a valid driver's license At least 2 years experience as a Quality Inspector At least 2 years project experience is advantageous preferably within the Petrochemical industry
