Quality Controller - Johannesburg

As the Quality Controller, you will be responsible for quality assurance both on and off site. You will be supervising the team and ensuring that all team members are adequately trained in quality aspects. You will deal directly with clients and liaise with all stakeholders.

Duties include:

  • Planning, site layout understanding and deliveries planning.
  • Monitoring and conducting quality checks of work performed.
  • Maintaining quality controls and documentation procedures.
  • Ensuring quality assurance compliance objectives and targets are achieved.
  • Troubleshooting and fault finding.
  • Handover to clients.
  • Reporting on quality control activities performed and assigning for further processing.
  • Monitoring and checking for abnormalities in products, out of specification requirements and non-conformities.
  • Initiating problem resolution procedures and corrective action plans.
  • Developing quality control plans.
  • Conducting training sessions for employees on quality assurance principles and practices.
  • Ensure safety files are updated and maintained.
  • Supervise/lead teams onsite and offsite.
  • Liaising with customers and management and implementing process improvements.
  • Developing and implementing effective strategies based on project requirements.
  • Collaborating with project stakeholders to define quality goals and metrics.
  • Managing and reporting on the Quality Management System.
  • Providing regular updates on project performance.
  • Ensuring compliance to health and safety codes of conduct.

Requirements:

  • Matric (essential)
  • Quality Management Qualification
  • Working at heights certificate
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience in consulting with customers and implementing process improvements
  • Valid Driver’s license
