JOB DESCRIPTION The opportunity: The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting apparel products to ensure that they meet all quality standards prior to delivery to the TFG Distribution Centres. This includes inspecting for measurement and quality defects, as well testing functionality. The Quality Inspector also works with other members of the Quality Assurance team to develop and implement quality control procedures. This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager The position reporting into Group Merchandise Procurement Division and the Quality Assurance department servicing all Brands. Responsibilities: •Inspect apparel products for manufacturing and quality defects. •Measure clothing products to ensure that they meet specifications. •Test products for functionality, such as durability and fit. •Maintain accurate records of inspection findings. •Work with other members of the Quality Assurance team to develop and implement quality control procedures. Requirements: •Industry related diploma or equivalent. •1-2 years of experience as an apparel quality inspector. •Excellent attention to detail. •Strong analytical skills. •Ability to work independently and as part of a team. •Knowledge of apparel manufacturing processes. •Familiarity with quality control standards. •Strong MS Office skills •Strong communication skills •Strong organizational skills Behaviors for success: •Energetic •positive attitude •EQ, thinking and cognition Preference will be given, but not limited to candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.
