The purpose of the Site Quality Inspector is to ensure that roof installations are done in accordance with the required specifications and safety standards as specified by the Company. Role reports to the Tactical Manager. Qualifications and experience required: Matric / Grade 12 and a valid Driver's License Certification in quality control is preferred ISO9001:2015 Accreditation Working at Heights A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role Ability to read technical drawings Technical knowledge of company Manufacturing Machinery and specifications Product knowledge Advantageous Excellent knowledge of MS Office Good math and technical skills Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques Good communication skills with both external parties and business audiences Adhering to all work-site safety rules and regulations Ability to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines Physically fit and healthy and ability to work at heights Duties and responsibilities: Ensure that all products supplied to customers are according to prescribed specifications and quality standards Inspect material being installed to ensure that it conforms to specifications and customer requirements Read, understand blueprints and specifications to ensure the roof installation is correctly installed Recommend any necessary adjustments and changes to the installation process in line with quality assurance Inspect, test, and approve the installation was done correctly and safety is not compromised Product Standards adhered to and perform routine inspections Investigate and prepare Non-Conformance Reports on defective products and Goods Returned Notes Investigates Non-Conformances and implements corrective measures Respond and resolve queries/ complaints from the Customers Inspect Profiles Perform Tests requested to ensure quality and durability of Company Products as and when required by the customer or Management Problem Solving on Quality Matters Ensure Health and Safety regulations are adhered to Liaise with Customers to ensure customer satisfaction and use feedback for continuous improvement on Quality Control Submit Technical reports on all site inspections for the week to the Tactical Manager Inspect concealed fix roofs for guaranteed purposes Liaise with customers daily Provide on-site training before new project starts Perform Quality Checks in the factory Inspect Roofs requires working on heights Travel to various sites daily Continuous improvement on quality procedures to minimize customer complaints Provide in-house training as and when required Perform wind uplift tests on the test bed in-house Establishing quality standards for products the company produces Reading blueprints and specifications to ensure that operations meet production standards Recommending any necessary adjustments and changes to production processes Inspecting and test the materials and equipment produced by a company Desired Skills: ISO9001 Working at heights Safety Roofing Quality control Inspecting and testing installations Quality inspection Wind uplift tests Desired Work Experience: 2 to 5 years [other] Manufacturing, Production & Trades 5 to 10 years Quality Control Desired Qualification Level: Diploma About The Employer: Steel roofing manufacturing company
