Our client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor who meets the following qualification requirements and possess the skills below: Responsibilities Verification of Site measurements and scopes of work Ensuring the correct and applicable rates are being applied to the works Co-ordinate with site management to verify that work is executed as per the Purchase Order Ensure that an effective system of monitoring the progress of the works and reporting thereon is maintained and that accurate site records are maintained Reconciling monthly invoicing against work executed Protect the company's contractual position by compiling and submitting accurate contractual notices. Evaluation and submission of claims for unplanned works/standing time Implement and maintain appropriate processes to track, review and report on site productivity and work performance Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications Relevant Quantity Surveying tertiary qualification or similar Ability to understand technical specifications and mechanical drawings Understanding work flows connected with scaffolding, insulation and painting Understanding of project planning and controls Understanding of the material requirements and norms (scaffolding, painting and insulation works) Strong administrative, organization and problem solving skills are required. The appointee must be deadline driven and results orientated Above average computer skills — MS Office suite (including Projects or similar) Have a valid drivers license At least 3 years relevant experience on large projects / maintenance contracts.
