Our Client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor, located in Pretoria. QS Consult is looking for a talented Quantity Surveyor to join a team of young professional quantity surveyors with a passion for the Built Environment industry Description: Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates. Develop and maintain project budgets. Conduct feasibility studies. Procurement and Tendering: Manage the tendering process. Prepare tender documents. Evaluate bids and negotiate contracts. Cost Control and Monitoring: Monitor project expenditure. Analyze cost performance. Implement corrective measures. Risk Management: Identify potential risks. Develop risk mitigation strategies. Assess contractual agreements. Quantity Surveying Documentation: Prepare bills of quantities. Maintain accurate documentation. Resolve disputes or claims. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships. Provide professional advice. Communicate effectively. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. 5 - 8 Years of experience Proven experience in quantity surveying or cost management roles within the construction industry, preferably in a consulting capacity. Proficiency in cost estimation techniques, quantity takeoff software, and construction cost management tools. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Sound knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and relevant legislation/regulations. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively. Proficiency in relevant software applications such as MS Excel, cost estimating software (e.g., CostX, Candy), and project management tools. Candidate who has experience working in Consultancy within the Building / Construction Environment (Retail, Schools, mining etc) R30 000 - R50 000 CTC
