Raw Material Controller (x2) - Pietermaritzburg

AFGRI Animal Feeds is seeking an individual who thrives on accountability and sets high-quality standards who will be responsible for the end-to-end process of raw materials on-site and who is passionate about precision in managing raw materials. REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING Grade 12 A relevant tertiary qualification REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE Minimum 5 years work experience in a similar position and industry Raw material stock control and stock management experience Animal Feed Manufacturing will be an added advantage KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Maintain FIFO Ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials to production Managing stock lead days within set parameters Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders Timeously resolve supplier complaints Limit stock losses to a minimum and explain stock deviations Ensure timeous and accurate reporting Conduct effective and regular stock takes Maintain internal controls and procedures and ensure compliance. Ensure accurate and timeous planning and recording of stock and capturing of all stock intakes accurately (GRVs) Ensure timeous reporting of stock claims Build and maintain strong relationships with Production Manager Adhere to all safety regulation policies, procedures and notices and ensures monthly health and safety reports are done Obtain V-number and MSD (Safety Data Sheet) for raw materials before a request is sent to Master Data for loading. Ensure that allocated work is clean and complete cleaning register TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/ COMPETENCIES Strong administration and organizational skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Excellent computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word, SAP and Outlook as a minimum) High level of personal and professional integrity Ability to multi-skill Proficiency in English and one other official language Numerical acumen and attention to detail Ability to handle stress BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES Motivated and positive Precise and accurate Proactive and innovative Closing date: 08 March 2024 Please note that correspondence will be limited to shortlisted candidates only.
