The successful applicant will be responsible for the following: (amongst other duties) Ensuring there is enough RAW Materials and Secondary packaging to fulfill orders and reorder levels are maintained Issue daily schedules for Raw Material requirements Monitoring of slow moving stocks Liaise with Sales personnel to dispose of or resell or maintain reorder levels Service the branches – in terms of product required etc. Calculating daily and weekly stock figures, exceptions etc Co-coordinating plans for external transport Advising Production and Planners of any exceptions that may be necessary for new product Liasing with Stores & Distribution regarding new packaging Long term planning of stock levels and buffers Assisting with utilization budget process Optimizing stock rotation, ordering and cash flow management In order to be considered for this position, applicants must comply with the following:- COMPETENCIES Advanced Excel and Microsoft office Bcom Accounts or Supply chain or related degree or diploma essential Planning and buying experience in manufacturing, Packaging or retail advantageous 3 – 5 years planning and buying experience/exposure essential Strong numeracy and planning skills essential
