Job Description
- Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various HVAC-R systems, including heating units, air conditioning systems, ventilation systems, and refrigeration equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of HVAC-R systems to identify and address issues proactively, ensuring optimal system performance and longevity.
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC-R systems and components, utilizing diagnostic tools and techniques to pinpoint root causes.
- Repair or replace faulty components in HVAC-R systems, such as compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, and electrical wiring.
- Perform system tests to ensure proper airflow, refrigerant levels, and system functionality. Adjust settings and components as needed to achieve desired performance levels.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their HVAC-R needs and provide expert recommendations for system upgrades, retrofits, or replacements to improve energy efficiency and performance.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations when handling refrigerants, electrical components, and hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with environmental and legal standards.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including work performed, parts used, and measurements taken. Maintain organized documentation for future reference and reporting.
- Respond to emergency service calls and provide timely assistance to resolve urgent HVAC-R issues, ensuring minimal disruption to clients operations.
Qualifications
- Trade Certificate
- SAQCC Gas Certification (Preferred)
Skills
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years'experience
- Knowledge of Chillers and VRF systems.
- Experienced in the healthcare environment (advantageous)
- Driver's license
