Main purpose / objective of the position: To receive and handle walk-in clients and visitors and to answer switchboard in such a way that it projects a professional image of the centre. General administrative tasks and support in terms of leasing and procurement administration will also form part of this position as part of support to the centre management team. Decision making authority: Per approval framework. Training would be required to take decisions of a general nature from which specific judgment can be made to meet a new situation not yet encountered. Experience / Education: Grade 12 or equivalent and at least 2 years relevant experience in an administrative environment. Retail shopping centre experience will be a recommendation Skills required: Telephone skills; General Administrative skills; computer literacy (MS Office, particularly Outlook and Word, Excel); Ability to Multi-task; Interpersonal skills, English business writing skills. Knowledge required: Switchboard, General layout of the centre, Policies & Procedures, Relevant legislation, example FICA, OHS. Competencies required: Communication, Customer & Quality Focus, Methodical, Teamwork & co-operation, Self Confidence; Tolerance for Routine. Major drivers of work volume: Sophistication of switchboard equipment; number and complexity of incoming calls, leasing, procurement, projects.
