Main purpose of this role will be to assist study project manager with the implementation of research projects with key emphasis on project specific tasks including but not limited to research coordination, recruitment and retention, and study-specific operational and logistics support, and youth adherence club management. Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate At least 2 years of experience in research recruitment and retention Knowledge of HIV/AIDS, adolescent sexual health, PrEP for HIV prevention Knowledge of public health community resources and community outreach Computer literacy with sound knowledge of email, Microsoft office suite etc Intermediate skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Fluency in English and or Afrikaans and or IsiXhosa Ability to work well under pressure and to maintain effectiveness during changing conditions Maintain confidentiality Administration skills Ability to work independently as well as part of the mobile clinic team Client focused and detail-orientated Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends Advantageous: National Diploma in Social Sciences studies Experience in a Community Based research-Projects Valid Driver’s license Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Certificate Certificate for PrEP Responsibilities: Support study project manager with study-specific tasks, including participant counselling and Focus Group Discussion sessions, QC of consent forms, and participant follow up Collaborate with the research team to develop a comprehensive recruitment strategy based on study objectives Develop and implement a retention plan to enhance participant engagement throughout the study Regularly communicate with participants to maintain their interest and commitment Address participant concerns and challenges that may arise Conduct home visits for further follow ups Facilitation of youth reference group and/or intervention sessions Collaborate with organizational leadership to align the YRG's activities with the overall goals and objectives of the project Maintain detailed records of recruitment and retention activities Create a retention tracker, provide weekly and monthly PrEP retention Submit regular update of activities Coordinating Courier Service and communicate with Data Manager for PrEP Courier deliveries due Work closely with CNP for PrEP and STI treatment packaging Follow up participants on HIV self-test results, and capturer on REDCap Setting up of courier service targets for mobiles Conduct ICF QC and report to the Project Manager Follow-up telephone calls with study participants Assist with recruiting patients for research studies on the Mobile Clinics Assist with community surveys. Assist with filing research forms and patient files. Maintain strict client confidentiality Weekly and Monthly progress reports on research participation (recruitment, and retention) Assist with other project related activities as required Values fit: Passion Innovation Progress Integrity Respect Excellence Submit CV, motivation letter with certified copy of highest qualification and details of three (3) current contactable referees in a single PDF file by 27 March 2024.
