We are searching for a Junior Logistics Controller to join our client. The Logistics Controller oversees and manages the day-to-day workflow of the warehouse. Manages activities throughout the order fulfillment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met. Oversees inventory of goods and vehicles. Continually reviews freight costs, transportation rates, and/or the prices of raw materials to keep costs down where possible Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations. Ensure premises, assets and communication ways are used effectively. Utilize logistics to optimize procedures. Coordinate logistics staff (e.g. truck drivers) according to availabilities and requirements. Supervise orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and equipment to ensure they meet needs. Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction. Plan and Tracking/Fleet Controller the shipment of final products according to customer requirements. Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc. Prepare accurate reports for upper management. High School Diploma/ Matric Supply Chain management or relevant field is advantageous. 1-2 years' experience. Advance MS Excel. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Must have a Driver's Licence. Proven experience as logistics controller and containers. Strong understanding of transport and distribution operations. Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements. Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes. Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
