Duties:
- Collect and maintain cost information in a comprehensive expenses database.
- Construct efficient data accumulation systems for accurate reporting.
- Plan and record variable costs to enhance financial visibility.
- Review standard and actual costs, ensuring accuracy.
- Prepare budgeting reports for strategic financial planning.
- Analyse and report on profit margins for informed decision-making.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions to enhance profitability.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CIMA Qualified is a BIG Plus
Experience:
- 3 years of experience in cost accounting or a similar role.
- Strong technical abilities in financial reporting, analysis, and management, including proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
- Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
