The leading Waste Management Firm in South Africa is seeking a tenacious Human Resources Manager to join their team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive Human Resources (HR) support service/ advice across the HR value chain to enable the business (region) to achieve its strategic and operational objectives. In order to be considered for this role you must have the following: Matric Related Human Resources degree 5 years HR Generalist experience servicing a business unit / region is essential Extensive knowledge of labour related legislation i.e. BCEA, LRA, SDA & EEA Experience with the Bargaining Council, Unions, the CCMA etc Key Accountabilities (But not limited to): Talent attraction/ acquisition: This involves overseeing the recruitment process, conducting interviews, and ensuring the organization has the right talent in place to meet its objectives. Talent retention and development Employee Relations and Engagement: Managing employee relations, handling grievances, promoting a positive work culture, and implementing initiatives to boost employee engagement and satisfaction. HR Compliance and Policy Implementation: Ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations, implementing HR policies and procedures, and staying up-to-date on best practices in human resources management. HR Risk management/ mitigation.
