Exciting new opportunity for a Regional Operations Manager with aspirations to become a General Manager to be based in Johannesburg, South Africa. ABOUT OUR CLIENT Our client is one of the largest publishers and printers of books, newspapers and commercial print in South Africa. They are involved in various fields of publishing and printing i.e. newspapers, magazines, commercial print, book printing, stationery, packaging and labels. JOB SUMMARY EQ8 Recruit has been engaged to help recruit a Regional Operations Manager for our client to be based in Johannesburg, South Africa. To be successful in this role, you should be a self-motivated, driven individual who is capable of confident decision-making that can facilitate the effective and efficient operation of the business, as well as drive strategies to grow the business into the future. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT In order to be shortlisted for this role, you have the following skills and experience, but not limited to:- Undergraduate Degree in Operations Management or equivalent Post-Graduate qualification in Business Administration or equivalent, Qualified CA (SA) with operational experience would also be considered 8 years’ senior management experience in a production related operational environment Previous experience in working on an ERP system JOB DESCRIPTION The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:- Oversee the effective and efficient operation of the day-to-day operations Maintain budgets and optimize expenses Oversee the development and training programs for employees Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance Prepare regular reports for upper management and present divisional performance at monthly divisional management meetings. Ensure the divisions are compliant with all legislative requirements, including but not limited to, Health and Safety standards. Maintain key relationships with customers. Maintain current markets and develop new strategies and innovations with the current customer base. Identify business needs and prepare CAPEX proposals to justify needs identified.
