The company wishes to employ a Regional Sales Manager for the Western Cape.We are seeking a strong leader who is highly motivated, enthusiastic, leads by example and has a positive attitude.This senior leadership role requires someone who is an identifiable leader in the company or the industry, capable of being a senior spokesperson for the company in the Western Cape. They would be responsible for achieving year-on-year sales growth and the required net profit percentage.The Regional Sales Manager is required to develop, lead, coach, mentor and motivate the sales team whilst building a healthy team spirit between all resources. Amongst other things, they will be accountable for regional sales, debtor management, setting the annual sales budget and working closely with the Regional Administration Manager to create the annual expense budget. They would also be responsible for developing and maintaining KOL and VIP customer relationshipsThe successful incumbent will be based in Cape Town, reporting to the National Sales and Marketing Manager.Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:Sales Management Manage the daily sales operations of the branch Direct management of sales representatives, clinical application specialist and sales administrators. Develop and grow the sales in the territory. Coaching, mentoring and working in the field with the sales team Sales Administration Ensuring quotes, tenders and government tenders (EPS bids) are submitted timeously and accurately Working with the Sales team to ensure that CRM is updated Ensuring that the debtors management book is well managed and addressing overdue customers to ensure payments are up to date Monitoring back orders to ensure customers receive orders timeously. Reporting Prepare and present financial and sales reports to EXCO on a monthly basis Weekly update meetings with line manager Prepare and present weekly sales forecast and debtors update to the Management team. Budgeting Prepare annual sales budget for Western Cape (including Namibia) Assist the Regional Administration Manager with the preparation of the annual expense budget. People management Manage the direct reports by ensuring optimal delivery of performance, achievement of sales targets and ensuring customer excellence. Work closely with the Human Resources Department to ensure all “people” related matters are effectively managed and supported. Ensure all employees are optimally trained and supported and have all the resources required to achieve above average performance levels Evaluate performance on a weekly basis and conduct performance reviews on an bi-annual basis Congresses and marketing Management of the regional congresses in respect of staff, stand, products, logistics, marketing material and the like. Assist with national congresses which are held in the Western Cape Ensure that the sales team have adequate marketing material and promotional items available Work closely with the Product Managers in order to implement divisional strategies. Generate new business and maintain existing customer relationships Ensure customer relationship excellence and maintain and develop strong relationships with KOL’s and VIP customers Build strong customer relationships and market the company to create new business opportunities Resolve customer complaints satisfactorily and professionally in the best interest of the Company and their customers. Qualification and requirements: Sales, Marketing, Life Science, Business Management Degree or related tertiary education. A minimum of 5 years Sales Management experience within the medical industry Strong financial acumen Experience developing, managing, coaching, mentoring and leading a diverse sales team Own vehicle and valid drivers license SA identification Skills required: Honesty Accountability Reliability Punctuality Professional Strong attention to detail Team player Ability to work well under pressure Self-motivated individual Ability to interpret financial data Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Basic salary Vehicle allowance, Petrol card.
