Registered Nurse - Paediatrics - Cape Town City Centre
Requirements:
- Nursing Diploma or Degree and registered with SANC
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Registered Nurse in Paediatric unit, with private hospital experience.
- Post Basic Qualification in Midwifery or Paediatric Nursing will be advantageous
- BLS (Basic Life Support) competency
- Compulsory shift work
- Ability to work independently and also effectively within a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
- Competently administer oral, intramuscular, and intravenous medication
- Competent in infant, toddler, and child physical assessment
- Assist Paediatricians during ward rounds
- Perform wound care and develop care plans
- Provide health education to parents and patients
- Liaison between patients, doctors, and staff members
- Ability to advocate for patients
